Aunt Jennifer had a good idea that might work well when sending a file to school: When in Word use Save As and then change the file type Rich Text Format (filenames end with .rtf). Then send that file instead of the regular Word document (that ends in .doc). These files are "plain text" that the schools computer system should not object to because regular web pages themselves are "plain text" but when one of these files is openned in Word, it will have the same basic formatting that you used in the original file. The only thing is this format is not good for files with inserted images and other fancy stuff. - Love Dad
