Prose

I have written many stories, and I have been complimented on my writing since the first grade. I used to have examples of stories I was writing on this page, but I found that about a month or two after I updated the page, I would abandon a story. You see, I have to find a very good subject, and come up with a very good plot in order to keep my attention and focus on a particular story. The one story I did finish was not very good because I was in such a rush to get to the fight scenes and the big important fun-to-write scenes, that I skipped a lot of necessary detail in the extra scenes.

My writing has improved over the years, especially since I first made this website, but I haven't updated this page since a long time. I just looked and found stories I haven't been writing since the fourth grade!

The kinds of writing I like to do varies from reality fiction, and fantasy. Those are the two types of writing I frequently "compose." I, of course, write other kinds for school, but in general, those are my favorite writing topics. I especially love fantasy and medieval-type societies. I like to be able to create my own universe, and not have to follow any "earth" rules of society or anything like that. It feels free.

I have posted some examples of some of my writing on this site if you would like to see (below).

I took an interest in home publishing a few years ago. I have published my own book called All About Karate with information off the Wikipedia website online.

Poetry

I have recently discovered a love of poetry. It all started this past summer, I brought with me a huge spiral bound notebook, and a box of blue gel pens (my favorite kind). I wrote nearly every day, and soon found myself composing full pages of poetry. Nothing fancy, just rhymes and couplets... thrown together, and I found that it was much easier to write than prose, because I didn't have any preconceived ideas for how long a poem should be. Because of this, I had no problems finishing poems! I have many now... and I write things down in peotry form all the time, just for fun, and for school. It is an art that I have taken to like a fish to water!

Check out some of my poems below!

Issues

An icy warmth floods my soul
Shivers run from head to toe
Mind and body seperate
Gazing down at my full plate
But hopelessly unable to
Discern between the different foods

Love

I go to sleep
I see your eyes
I hear your voice
Lose my disguise
When I awake
You are still there
Search for a way
To show I care

Between The Labels

I gaze in silence
Steady the boat
I feel a tickle in my throat
A cloud of questions on which I float
Reading poems that she wrote
I feel a flutter in my heart
God forbid we're kept apart
I'm not sure what this feeling's called
Between the labels it is scrawled
I cannot read, I do not know
Through acceptance of this
I grow

Better Life

Under my fist
My shame I crush
All around there falls a hush
No longer will I stand alone
Afraid of letting my true self show
Pride and love will guide my way
Through the darkness
Night and day
Arm in arm with more than one
A better life has now begun

Ecstacy

She falls to the ground
a new beginning
Begins, A new life
to learn, to live
To Remember

She grows tall and mighty within
her forgiveness, free
of sin, free of hate
Floating, Bouncing at Heaven's gate

She sways in the wind (be as it may)
Her leaves gently stumble, falling away
Falling away to the earthen floor
Not far at all, not far, not far...

“Not to worry, little one.”
Her heartwood firm, Her heartwood sturdy
Her soul it flies in ecstasy
For her lives develop endlessly
Her spirit soars in the wind, you see
Her heart is full of joy.
